The social life of a wickerbeast heavily depends on their place of birth.

Those that are born "native" are known as Clan Wickers and follow the lifestyle of their ancestors by living off the land and have a barter andtrade system. Clan wickers highly value the old ways of their culture and place cunning and trickery on a pedestal. An ancient code they uphold known as the "Nodus Code" states that if you can best them at a test of skill and knowledge they will be pledged as an ally to you no matter the circumstances.  Chosen leadership under clans is a very methodical series
of trials nominees must go through. These trials can last up to a year depending on how much terrirotry is involved.

Clans always hunt for their food, no exceptions. Their hunting method is one that their ancestors used known as a "bait and trap", where they mimic the prey's call and lure it into a false sense of security before striking.

Village wickerbeasts live a more progressive lifestyle than Clans but are not considered as advanced as cities. Village wickerbeasts are a bit more open
about how they handle situations and are a bit quicker to tolerate rather than the "kill on sight" mindset Clan wickers have. Villages operate under a system where the elders are in charge, and each have their own apprentice that may substitute for them if they are unable to perform their duties. Those in villages tend to pick up jobs as merchants or caravan guards, as they do use currency to
buy what they need more than living off the land.

One age-old superstition that both clans and villages hold onto are that kingbeasts are good luck and the birth of just one means a year of prosperity.
Due to this, kings are usually subjected to favoritism and heavily sway opinoins in their favor as well as decisions in matters.

Those who choose life in cities are shunned by both villagers and clans due to choosing a life with humans rather than their own kind. City wickers tend to mix newly learned behaviors and cultures with their own to help them fit into the new
environment while also feeling at ease with themselves. While enjoying life in the city they must also be very cautious, as most black market organizations will hunt them for prized parts such as tails, horns, and pelts.

City Wickerbeast Citizenship Process

A large portion of city wickerbeast populations occur through a type of sponsorship, younger generations of those who have already earned their permanent residence do not need to have one. To obtain a sponsor, one must be working under an official company or caravan. Once the sponsorship period ends, the wickerbeast is officially a citizen of that country. Since the sponsorship process is lengthy and expensive it is namely wealthy companies or individuals who do this. Wickerbeasts under the sponsorship of the higher class usually have occupations as: house help, assistants, and bodyguards.

Holidays and Festivals

Wickerbeasts have their own set of rituals, festivals, and holidays they celebrate. Their most popular festival to celebrate is known as The Fall Harvest Celebration as clans and villages come together. During this time, the best of all kills are shared, stories of different ventures told, any possible territory issues discussed, and possibly meeting new mates under a nuetral and positive atmosphere. On this topic wickerbeast relations can vary from monogamy to polyamy. While they do have the capability to experience love, they place the passing along of good traits above all else and romance tends to come second.

Next to the Fall Harvest Celebration, their most celebrated holiday is called BrumaVae or "winter of woes". It is centered around their own figure known as Eektae, a wickerbeast that journeys from the spirit world during this day. Wickerbeasts very rarely celebrate BrumaVae as the lore, goes if you wish for a present you must summon Eektae with a sacrifice of some sort be it a coin, food, and etc. Eektae will then appear, and in order to get your wish you must best them in a challenger of wits. If you lose you forfeit your life and your head
bestowed as a gift to your neighbor. If you win you get your wish, but there is no guarantee it will be exactly what you want. For children who choose to do BrumaVae it is said that Eektae will carry their soul to the spirit world with him to wander alone all eternity if they lose. Since most clans are superstitious they tend not to do BrumaVae as it's heard to be nearly impossible to best Eektae, and instead just offer a piece of their meal for solstice out of general respect for the spirit.

Some of the more lax villages have converted BrumaVae into a more joyful celebration and hold little Easter egg hunts of various goodies and puzzles as they have taken it as a more metaphorical sense and the lore of Eektae as symbolism for working for what you want and nothing is free without a price and at the end of the hunts pay respects to the spirit as well.
